C.R. “bike friendly” open house at Lindale Mall on Saturday
If you’d like to see, discuss and have some input into where Cedar Rapids is heading in its quest for Bicycle Friendly Community status, stop in at Lindale Mall between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday.
Time it right, and you might even catch some local officials racing around on tricycles. I’m not sure about the tricycles, but that was one idea that came up Tuesday evening during another Bicycle Advisory Committee workshop at the CRPD.
The Saturday “open house” at Lindale – somewhere near the Sears store – is the next step in developing a plan and applying for BFC status this summer.
There should be plenty of time to go for a bike ride Saturday morning, then get to that open house. (See that link below about HBA rides? Hint, hint.)
Bundle up. There’s been talk of snow.
